‘Shelter-In-Place’ Order Issued After Overturned Truck Leaks Hazardous Nitric Acid

An overturned semi-truck in Tucson, Arizona, leaked noxious nitric acid, prompting officials to issue a shelter-in-place order for nearby residents.

Video of the hazmat incident on the busy I-10 freeway caught by passing motorists Tuesday showed plumes of dark orange smoke emanating from the site of the crash.
