DeSantis Agrees with Musk on Biden: ‘Whoever Controls Teleprompter Is Who The President Is’
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Wednesday said he agreed with Tesla billionaire Elon Musk’s assessment that puppet President Joe Biden is desperately reliant on his teleprompter.
Speaking to reporters at Hub City Smokehouse & Grill in Crestview, Fla., DeSantis concurred with Musk’s assessment of Biden’s apparent ineptitude, commenting the president’s inability to get gas prices under control represents a major failure.
“So, I think what Elon Musk said the other day about whoever puts that stuff on the teleprompter is who the president is… because you just never know,” DeSantis told a crowd.
The governor was referencing Musk’s criticism of Biden Monday during a podcast interview, where the SpaceX founder noted Biden’s true handler is the teleprompter operator.
“The real president is whoever controls the teleprompter,” Musk told the All-In Podcast. “The path to power is the path to the teleprompter.”
“I do feel like if somebody were to accidentally lean on the teleprompter, it’s going to be like Anchorman,” Musk added.
Prior to the remark, the Florida governor highlighted gas prices had spiked in the state to $5 a gallon, with the bumbling Biden administration blaming the crisis on everything but themselves.
“This gas is going up even more. I mean, I think it’s going to be, I’m seeing it close to $5 in some parts of Florida,” DeSantis said.
