Retired Generals Demand Pentagon ‘Take Steps’ to Stop ‘Insurrection’ After 2024 Election
Three retired generals called on the military to “take steps” to avoid a “civil war” caused by a possible “insurrection” following the 2024 presidential election.
In an op-ed published by The Washington Post on Friday, former Army Major Gen. Paul Eaton, former Brigadier Gen. Steven Anderson and former Army Major Gen. Antonio Taguba said the Pentagon must prepare for “another insurrection” after the 2024 election.
“With the country still as divided as ever, we must take steps to prepare for the worst,” they wrote. “The potential for a total breakdown of the chain of command along partisan lines -from the top of the chain to squad level – is significant should another insurrection occur.”
